Author Rebuttal Phase Instructions

The rebuttal phase is now open. To view the reviewer questions and submit your response, please log in to HotCRP and open your submission page.

On the submission page, you should see the reviews listed as links, for example:

Review #1190A

Review #1190B

Review #1190C

Review #1190D

  • Please click each review link to read the reviewer’s comments and questions.

  • To submit your rebuttal response, click the “Add Round1 response” link on the submission page. In the attached example, this link appears near the top of the page, next to “Edit submission”, under the text indicating that you are an author of the submission.

  • Please make sure to address the reviewer questions clearly and concisely. The rebuttal response should be used to clarify misunderstandings, answer specific reviewer questions, and point reviewers to relevant parts of the submitted paper. No changes to the submitted paper are allowed during the rebuttal phase.

  • If you do not see the “Add Round1 response” link, please first confirm that you are logged in using the same HotCRP account associated with your submission. If the link is still missing, contact the program committee immediately.

  • The primary purpose of the rebuttal is to address the issues raised by the reviewers. Authors should respond especially to the items listed under “Rebuttal questions for authors,” but they may also address important weaknesses, misunderstandings, or factual inaccuracies raised elsewhere in the reviews. Please keep the response focused, clear, and concise.

  • No changes to the submitted paper are allowed during the rebuttal phase. The rebuttal is not an opportunity to upload or submit a revised manuscript. Rather, it is intended to clarify points in the original submission and respond to reviewer questions or concerns.

  • Although the response form may technically allow file attachments, authors are not expected to upload a revised version of the paper as part of the rebuttal. Any attachment, if used, should only support the rebuttal response and should not constitute a revised paper.
